About
Embracing the Millions is a way for artists to have an ongoing conversation with their audience about questions that affect our everyday lives, questions raised by Ludwig van Beethoven and Friedrich Schiller in the Ninth Symphony.
We are encouraging local artists, arts organizations, and students to share work that relates to these questions, these ideas. Ideas like ….
- “What will it take to have a ‘universal brotherhood?’”
- “How does Joy bring us together?”
- “How does our diversity separate us? Or bring us together?”
- “Can there be a universal brotherhood without a universal conception of God?”
- “Can the music and the other arts make us better people?”
We encourage you to explore the rest of this website and consider some of these questions.
We encourage you to comment with your thoughts.
We encourage artists and students to participate and share their relevant work.
We encourage you to attend other groups and artists relevant activities.
And we hope you will join us for the culminating event on April 5-6!
